At about 21 years old when I madly fell in love with my now fiance, I was very confused by a lot of challenges that come with a new relationship and actually loving someone else. I started leaning over towards being possessive and not knowing how to channel my love for this lady but my Mom came to the rescue and said something profound “Inyoni iyasazi isidleke sayo” a bird knows its nest, and that soon made things clear that instead of being worried about my partner and being insecure. Its best I learn to be a good man, stand on my own two feet show her how much I love her without pushing her away and trust that a person will always value a place where they are loved, and if she is mine she will be right here next to me and today proves that to be the case, as we are happily raising our 18-month-old daughter, engaged and happily in love.
